Robinho goes for 'Real' deal

Real Madrid's brand new 'Galactico', Brazilian striker Robinho following in the footsteps of illustrious predecessors Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos.

Real Madrid's brand new 'Galactico', Brazilian striker Robinho is following in the footsteps of illustrious predecessors Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos. As with all new Real signings, he comes at a whopping $30 million from the Brazilian club Santos. Robinho was first noticed three years back when he helped Santos win their first Brazilian championship. Since then his stock has steadily risen in the world of football drawing the inevitable comparisons with the legendary Pele. Robinho will wear the No 10 shirt, which, until recently was synonymous with Luis Figo. Robinho is Real's biggest signing since David Beckham in 2003.
