Pamplona:

Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy struck four times as Real Madrid thrashed Osasuna four-one at the Reyno de Navarra Stadium in Pamplona to maintain their challenge at the top of Spain's La Liga on Sunday. The former Manchester United forward scored three before half-time and rounded off a superb display with a fourth near the end to take his total to eight goals from 10 Primera League games. It was his second hat-trick of the season, the other was against Levante in another four-one away win in September. (AP)
