The Portuguese may not have started their campaign against Angola in an impressive manner, but they seek to improve their showing against Iran on Saturday. The team will have to beat Iran to be able to advance to the next stage of the World Cup tournament. The good news is that star striker Cristiano Ronaldo is playing in the Frankfurt encounter. Midfielder Deco has also returned to the side following an ankle injury. In their last three World Cup appearances, Portugal has not been able to successfully negotiate the group stages. But by winning today's match they can extend their unbeaten streak in competitive matches to 14. The last time Portugal suffered a defeat was from Greece in the Euro 2004 final. Meanwhile, Iran's veteran striker Ali Daei has declared himself fit for the game, despite complaining of a back injury following their 3-1 loss to Mexico.
