Parana of Brazil socred a goal in each half and beat Cobreloa of Chile 2-0 in the first leg of their preliminary phase encounter of the Copa Libertadores.

Parana of Brazil socred a goal in each half and beat Cobreloa of Chile 2-0 in the first leg of their preliminary phase encounter of the Copa Libertadores. Henrique gave Parana the lead, taking a pass from Dinelson and dribbling past Chilean goalkeeper Fernando Hurtado. Josiel made it 2-0 two minutes from the end with a low shot from 15 meters. The second match will be played in Curtiba, Brazil, Feb. 7. The winner of the series will advance to the main draw in a group shared with Flamengo of Brazil, Royal Potosi of Bolivia and Maracaibo of Venezuela.
