New Delhi:

India went down 3-0 against Iraq in the first leg of the second round Olympic qualifier in Amman on Wednesday. Unfancied India did well to keep top seed Iraq at bay in the first half but then let the floodgates opened with Mustafa Karim, Alla Abdul Zahra and Haider Akubi scoring one each. Karim opened up the scoring for the Asian Games silver medallist in the 51st minute at the King Abdullah stadium. In the 68th minute Zahra gave a 2-0 cushion to his team while Haider compounded India's misery with another strike just two minutes later. India had beaten Myanmar 4-1 in penalty shootout at the Salt Lake stadium in Kolkata to reach the second round of the Beijing qualifiers.
