Pamplona, Spain:

Barcelona seem to be running away with Spain's La Liga - judging by their performances over the first eight games of the new season. But the battle for the minor placings could prove interesting. It's Seville, five points in arrears, Valencia a further point adrift - and then six teams all on 13 points. There's Real Madrid - and a host of teams all hoping that this could prove a breakthrough season. Among them is Osasuna with only a suspect defence preventing them from an improved placing. Included in the Pamplona side's line-up is Mohammed El Yaagoubi - the latest player from Morocco to make an impact in one of Europe's major leagues. (AP)
