In the UEFA Champions league on matchday three, a first-half header by Ukrainian forward Andriy Shevchenko secured AC Milan a 1-0 victory at home to FC Barcelona. They also secured a sole position at the top of Group F with three wins from three matches. Chelsea FC made it three wins out of three in Group H. They beat CSKA Moskva 2-0. Another perfect 3-0 record unblemished in Group G, Inter vanquished Valencia 5-1. Paris Saint-Germain FC re-launched their campaign in style with an impressive 2-0 win against defending champions FC Porto in the French capital. The other matches in Matchday 3 of the Champions League were: Arsenal drew Pananthanaikos 2-2; Rosenborg lost PSV 1-2: Shakthyor thrashed Celtic 3-0 and Anderlecht lost Bremen 1-2.
