Manchester United have claimed their first premiership title in four seasons and ninth over all after 10-man Chelsea failed to beat Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

The Blues needed three points against the Gunners to keep the title alive for at least another 72 hours, but could only manage a 1-1 draw.

United will play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday in a game, which will have no bearing on the championship.

The two sides will also meet in the FA Cup final on May 19 at Wembley.
