Eyeing the second spot on the National Football League, Mahindra United are looking to keep their winning ways intact when they lock horns with Vasco in the match to be played on Thursday. East Bengal have already clinched the title. Mahindras, who have lost only one match in the second leg, have 36 points from 19 matches. A win will put them on par with Dempo, who are at the second place with 39 points from 20 matches. Presently at the seventh place with 23 points from 19 matches, Vasco have injury problems with striker Edson Castro being ruled out and keeper Roger Ramos being a doubtful starter. Vasco will have to guard against rival strikers Raphael Akakpo and Felix Aboagye alongwith medio S Venkatesh, who have struck the right chord upfront. The home team's coach is aware that the match is a tough one but is confident that his team, known to do well against tough opponents, will put up its best and win in order to avoid relegation.
