Juventus became the second team to qualify for the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League on matchday four, which saw records tumble. Juventus are guaranteed a top two place in their group after a 0-0 draw at Real Sociedad. Real remain second. Olympiakos beat Galatasaray 3-0 in the same group. But it was Monaco that produced one of the greatest UEFA matches, as they thrashed Deportivo La Coruna 8-3. It was the most number of goals scored by a team in this competition and the highest goal tally. Monaco replace Deportivo on top of their group with PSV Eindhoven a point behind after a 2-0 win over AEK Athens. Olympique Lyonnais top their group after a 2-1 win over Bayern Munich. Celtic are second after a 3-1 triumph against Anderlecht. Arsenal got a dying minute goal to beat Dinamo Kiev - three behind Internationale who drew at home to Lokomotiv Moskva.
