Juventus defeated European champions AC Milan in the Italian SuperCup in New Jersey, USA, on Sunday.

New Jersey:

Ciro Ferrara converted his team's fourth penalty kick and goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon kept out Christian Brocchi's spot-kick to give Juventus a 4-3 win on penalties over European champions AC Milan in the Italian SuperCup in New Jersey, USA, on Sunday. It marked the second successive game between the Italian rivals to be decided by penalties after AC Milan defeated Juventus in a penalty shoot-out to capture the UEFA Champions League title in England in May. Sunday's win gives Juventus back-to-back SuperCup championships, and five since the tournament began in 1988. The SuperCup pits the winner of the previous season's Italian league title (in this case, Juventus) against the winners of the Italian Cup (AC Milan). (AP)
