The Japanese football team, coached by the game's legend Zico, arrived in the wee hours today to play a pre-world cup match against India.

The Japanese football team, coached by the game's legend Zico, arrived in the wee hours today to play a pre-world cup match against India. The Asian champions were received by some officials of the Indian Football Association and the Japanese Consulate. India plays Japan at the Salt Lake stadium tomorrow. The team, comprising 21 footballers and 20 officials, were driven straight to a five star hotel near the Salt Lake stadium. The formidable Japanese had trounced India 7-0 in the first leg encounter at Saitama. (With PTI inputs)
