Inter Milan won its 17th straight game in the Serie A, beating Catania 5-2. Walter Samuel scored the first goal for Inter with a header in the 45th minute. Santiago Solari, Fabio Grosso, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Julio Ricardo Cruz all added goals after the break. Gionatha Spinesi and Giorgio Corona scored for Catania in the second half of the match played on Sunday. "The season isn't over yet. We have a big lead but there are still many games to play," Cruz said. Head start Inter leads the Serie A with 66 points. Second-place AS Roma, which has 52 points, beat Reggina 3-0 on Sunday with goals from Francesco Tavano, Philippe Mexes and Christian Panucci. "What I like about this Roma is our collective spirit. Today we displayed great professionalism," Roma coach Luciano Spalletti said. Palermo, which is third with 44 points, drew 1-1 with Atalanta on Saturday. Massimo Ambrosini headed in a 90th-minute winner to help AC Milan beat Sampdoria 1-0 at San Siro, where both teams played with 10 men. Massimo Oddo was sent off after 10 minutes for an innocuous-looking tackle on Sampdoria striker Emiliano Bonazzoli. Sampdoria was reduced to 10 men in the 39th when defender Giulio Falcone received his second yellow card. "It was really important for our season that we won. It was a difficult game, but we have always believed in ourselves," Ambrosini said.
