New Delhi:
After cricket, hockey and snooker, it is the turn of football stars from the country to make the trip to neighbouring Pakistan, as the national team is slated to play a three match series there later this year. "We have accepted the invitation of the Pakistan Football Federation to play a three-match series there," Albert Colaco, General Secretary, All India Football Federation told reporters. Colaco, however, said the dates of the series were not finalised yet as the coach of the national team, Stephen Constantine, was on leave. But he indicated the tour could be scheduled for August this year. India had sent a second string team to Pakistan for the recent SAF Games. Pakistan had then defeated their arch-rivals 1-0 in the final to clinch the gold medal. (PTI)Topics mentioned in this article
