India climbs up one place to 142 in FIFA rankings

Bhuichung Bhutia and his men, currently touring Hong Kong, rose a rung to the 142nd spot in the latest rankings released by the FIFA.

Bhuichung Bhutia and his men, currently touring Hong Kong, rose a rung to the 142nd spot in the latest rankings released by the world governing body of football FIFA.

The latest chart shows Bob Houghton's wards having 168 points in their kitty.

The top half of the chart remains unchanged with Spain continuing to lead the table, followed by Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and Brazil. Beijing Olympics gold medallist Argentina is at the sixth position.

India remained static at the 20th place in the Asian zone, which is being headed by Australia.

Japan occupies the second spot with Korea Republic closely following them.
