Amsterdam: Holland were able to avenge their 3-2 Euro Cup defeat at the hands of the Czech Republic as they came out winners from Wednesday's World Cup qualifier. The Dutch were able to see off the Czech Republic's challenge thanks to Pierre Van Hooijdonk. The under-strength Czechs dominated the first-half, and wasted three good chances. Edwin Van der Sar did superbly to keep out Tomas Rosicky, Milan Baros and Marek Heinz. But the home side took the lead in the 33rd minute as Rafael van der Vaart set up Van Hooijdonk to score. Jan Koller almost levelled in the second-half when he hit the bar with a header. But the game was made safe later on as Van Hooijdonk headed home this cross to make it 2-0 for Holland.
