German coach alleges doping

Frankfurt:

A well-known Bundesliga coach has claimed up to 50 per cent of German soccer players used stimulants in the past.

Peter Neururer told the Sport-Bild magazine that he saw players using the stimulant Captagon, an amphetamine-like medication, while he was in charge at Schalke in the 1989-90 season.
