London: Fulham climbed up into fifth place in the English Premier League standings following a 2-0 victory over Portsmouth at Loftus Road on Monday night. Louis Saha scored twice in the space of three first half minutes to seal the win - the Frenchman with his seventh and eighth goals of the season to better his own previous record. The visitors ended the game with ten men - Czech Republic international Patrik Berger shown a straight red card by referee Alan Wiley for foul and abusive language. Fulham had won only one of their last five home games (against Manchester United) before Monday night. They were beaten by Charlton Athletic and Liverpool in their last two games. Portsmouth are yet to win an English Premier League game away from home this season.
