City:

Buoyed by their gritty performance against defending champion East Bengal, debutant Fransa Pax Sports Club are looking to collect full points when they take on demoralised JCT in the third round of the 9th National Football League here tomorrow. Fransa with four points from two matches will be without their reliable defender Luis Aniweta due to double booking and JCT, yet to open their account, having lost both their matches have an opportunity to exploit the rival defence. For Fransa, the main strike power will come from the foreign strike duo Benjamin Ansah and Joseph Ogor who have put up an excellent performance against East Bengal. Midfielders Jules Alberto, Saikhom Singh and Sebastiao Endro have given good support to their strikers from behind. "Our team has not combined together as a team and need to get their act together and tomorrow may be the right moment to get the momentum going. The two game loss is not a big thing as the league is at the starting stage, but we need to cover our mistakes and do the right thing as early as possible for the team to win," JCT coach Sukhwinder Singh said. "For us no team is strong and no team is unbeatable. It is the level of game our boys play that will decide our future. We have lost to our opponent by conceding long shot goals and I have advised my boys and especially keeper to remain alert," Singh said. Fransa coach Norbert Gonsalves said his team will employ the same strategy that was employed in the last two matches. (PTI)
