Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas says he is not distracted by Real Madrid's reported interest in signing him. "I'm not thinking of anything else other than playing for Arsenal next season. I'm an Arsenal player 100 per cent. I really feel at home in London," Fabregas was quoted as saying by sports daily Mundo Deportivo on Sunday. Fabregas emerged as a Madrid target when his agent reportedly signed an agreement for the 19-year-old midfielder to join the club on a five-year contract if Ramon Calderon won its presidential election. Calderon took charge last week, adding to speculation that Madrid, under new coach Fabio Capello, will make a bid for the Spanish international. Yet Fabregas said he expected to begin preseason training with Arsenal on July 24. "No one has told me anything to the contrary. At the moment, I'm an Arsenal player," he said. Fabregas, who helped Arsenal reach its first Champions League final last season, said he would welcome a move home in the future. "Sooner or later, I would like to play in the Spanish league and more so, in my case, as I left when I was 16 and I haven't had the chance, but at the moment I am really good over there (in England)," he said. Fabregas, who became Arsenal's youngest first-team player and scorer at 16, made his international debut in a March friendly against Ivory Coast, which Spain won 3-2. The youngest member of Spain's squad, he appeared in all of his team's four World Cup games. (AP)
