Thousands of fans who couldn't get a ticket for Sunday's match crammed into Stuttgart's main square to watch England play Ecuador on giant screens. England's 1-0 win prompted wild scenes of celebration. Though it wasn't one of England's best performances in recent times, the fans were just happy to see them book a place in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, fans from the Netherlands and Portugal gathered in the centre of Nuremburg on Sunday to watch their teams meet in the second round of the World Cup. Portugal fans went wild after their country finished 1-0 in the battle to face England in the quarterfinal after an edgy match against Holland.
