Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney fired England to the top of their Euro 2004 qualifying group in a 2-0 victory over Liechtenstein at Old Trafford, Manchester, on Wednesday. The result means that England go to Istanbul on October 11 needing just a draw with World Cup semi-finalists Turkey to finish top and clinch a place in next summer's finals.
