East Bengal have lost any chance of retaining the National Football title for a third year in a row.

East Bengal have lost any chance of retaining the National Football title for a third year in a row. The Kolkata giants, who needed to win their final game against Mahindra United, lost 1-0 earlier today. Abhishek Yadav scored the only goal of the match late in the second half. East Bengal thus ended with 40 points from 20 matches. Dempo and sporting club Goa are ahead of them with Dempo having a chance to clinch their first league title if they beat Vasco tomorrow.
