Denmark have defeated Bulgaria 2-0 to secure their first win of the tournament.

Lisbon:

Denmark have defeated Bulgaria 2-0 to secure their first win of the tournament. 27 year old Jon Dahl Tomasson scored for Denmark just before half-time, with the Danes leading 1-0. Tomasson gave the Danes the lead after 44 minutes following a beautiful move which also involved Sand, Jorgensen and Gravesen, before Jesper Gronkjaer settled the game in added time with an equally impressive strike. The Chelsea FC midfield player was a late arrival following the death of his mother and was on compassionate leave. Bulgaria, meanwhile, are out of the finals after two defeats in two games. Denmark have scored over Italy by getting Totti banned and the 1992 Euro champions were held to a 0-0 draw by Italy but now they should be bolstered by the return of two players.
