DC United traded veteran defender Brandon Prideaux to the Colorado Rapids on Friday for two Major League Soccer draft picks.

DC United traded veteran defender Brandon Prideaux to the Colorado Rapids on Friday for two Major League Soccer draft picks. United will receive the Rapids' third-round selections in 2007 and 2008.The 30-year-old Prideaux spent five seasons with United but was bothered by a knee injury this season and played only nine games.Prideaux has played on two MLS championship teams. He helped Kansas City win the 2000 title and did the same with United in 2004. (AP)
