Costa Rica overcame a spirited performance by El Salvador in Foxboro on Saturday to book their place in the last four of the 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Costa Rica overcame a spirited performance by El Salvador in Foxboro on Saturday to book their place in the last four of the 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup. El Salvador twice came back from a goal down to level the contest, before eventually losing 5-2 to a classy Costa Rican outfit. Midfielder Walter Centeno led the charge for the Costa Ricans with a hat-trick that included two penalties. Costa Rica will now face the winners of the Mexico-Jamaica game in next week's semi-final.
