China qualified for next year's World Cup Finals in Japan and South Korea with a 1-0 Group B win over Oman today, securing the nation's first-ever trip to football's most prestigious sporting event. The win also marked the record fifth trip to the World Cup Finals by China's charismatic Yugoslav coach Bora Milutinovic, who previously led Mexico, Costa Rica, the United States and Nigeria to football's ultimate showcase.
