London: Chelsea have demolished their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 to advance to the semi-finals of the English F A Cup. Chelsea were looking for revenge for their 5-1 defeat in the League Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur. And they started on a perfect note with William Gallas tapping in from close range to give Chelsea the lead after 12 minutes. Chelsea went 3-0 up after a great drive from 20 meters out by Le Saux. Eidur Gudjohnsen wrapped it up with his second goal of the game in the 66th minute. But the shine was taken off Chelsea's 4-0 victory when Le Saux was sent off for a bad challenge. Fulham, meanwhile, reached their first semi-final since 1975 with a 1-0 win over first-division West Brom. Middlesbrough took the lead against Everton in the 35th minute. A horrible mix-up between an Everton defender and the keeper saw Noel Whelan rolling the ball into the empty net. Paul Ince scored Boro's third and final goal to take his team through to only their second F A Cup semi-final in their 126-year history. The big match of the weekend had Arsenal travelling to Newcastle. The Gunners who were without the suspended Thierry Henry took the lead after 14 minutes. Brazilian Edu sent the ball into the back of the net off a Sylvain Wiltord cross. Newcastle however managed to equalise seven minutes into the second half. Laurent Robert with a cracking right footer that completely beat the Arsenal keeper. The game ended in a 1-1 draw. The replay is scheduled for March 23, as Arsenal are involved in Champions League games for the next two weeks.
