Ricardo Oliveira scored two goals on Tuesday, helping Real Betis qualify for the group stage of the Champions League for the first time.

Ricardo Oliveira scored two goals on Tuesday, helping Real Betis qualify for the group stage of the Champions League for the first time. Real Betis beat Monaco 3-2 on aggregate after a 2-2 draw. Oliveira scored the first goal with a header in the 17th minute, but Gerard Lopez equalized for Monaco in the 33rd. The Spanish midfielder's shot from outside the box went through the legs of a defender before beating Monaco goalkeeper Antonio Doblas. Substitute Toifilou Maoulida gave Monaco the lead with a header on his first touch in the 63rd, but Oliveira leveled the score again in the 76th on the counter-attack. Monaco will play this season's UEFA Cup. The draw for the group stage of the Champions League is on Thursday. (AP)
