AC Milan and Inter Milan are gearing up for their Champions League clash for their first-leg quarter-final match.

Milan:

Two years after AC Milan knocked Inter Milan out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage, the cross-town rivals meet again in Europe's most prestigious club competition. The six-time European champions AC Milan are the nominal hosts for Wednesday's first-leg quarter-final match at the San Siro, the home ground of both clubs. A Milan derby is a passionate affair at any time, but when it occurs in the quarter-finals of the Champions League then it promises to be something special. AC Milan have edge AC Milan go into the match as slight favourites. While they are involved in a tight duel with Juventus for the Serie A title, Inter trail the leading pair by 16 points and are out of contention for the Scudetto. The first Serie A derby this season ended in a 0-0 draw, but AC Milan won the second match 1-0 to maintain their three-year unbeaten streak in the Milan derby. Both matches were tight, cagey affairs and Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti believes that the quarterfinal games will be very similar. (AP)
