Italian striker Benito Carbone will play for Sydney FC in Australian soccer's A-League on a four-week contract, the club said on Thursday. Carbone, 35, has previously played for Inter Milan, Sheffield on Wednesday and Middlesbrough. His contract was agreed to on Thursday after he spent two weeks training with Sydney, the defending A-League champion. The Sydney club has recently lost the services of former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke. Yorke, who captained Trinidad and Tobago at the World Cup, left Sydney to join Sunderland in England's Premier League. Carbone is expected to make his debut for Sydney against Adelaide on Monday.(AP)
