Substitute Jim Brennan scored twice in the second half and Canada beat Austria 2-0 in a friendly on Wednesday. Brennan scored in the 65th with an 18-meter shot into the corner. Six minutes later, he netted his second from just outside the penalty area. The Canadians dominated from the start, outclassing the hosts offensively and defensively in front of 9,000 fans at Happel Stadium. Austria midfielders Markus Kiesenebner and Andreas Ivanschitz had chances, as did striker Roland Linz, but their shots were either too weak or wide.
