Boca Juniors beat Internacional of Brazil 4-1 Thursday night to advance to the semifinals of the Copa Sudamericana.

Rodridgo Palacio scored three goals and defending champion Boca Juniors beat Internacional of Brazil 4-1 Thursday night to advance to the semifinals of the Copa Sudamericana. Trailing 1-0 from the first leg, Boca equalized the aggregate on Palacio's first in the seventh minute. Rafael Sobis restored Internacional's hopes with a goal in the 64th, but Martin Palermo scored in the 74th and Palacio added tallies in the 81st and 87th to secure Boca's victory. Boca advances to play Chile's Universidad Catolica November 23 and 30. Catolica beat Brazil's Fluminense 2-0 Wednesday night to reach the semifinals on a 3-2 aggregate score. Argentina's Velez Sarsfield will play Pumas UNAM of Mexico in the other semifinal. (AP)
