Madrid: Real Madrid supporters had mixed feelings on Sunday evening when they found out that Los Angeles-bound David Beckham has played his last game for the club. Just 48 hours after Beckham announced he is to join the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer in the summer, Real coach Fabio Capello revealed on Saturday that he would not pick the midfielder again this season. That stance has stunned Beckham, whom Capello says can still train with the Spanish giants, who now has to ponder what to do for the next six months. Ahead of the Real Madrid vs Real Zaragoza game, some Real Madrid fans showed disappointment at the fact that Beckham hasn't given a proper farewell to the club's supporters. "I think it is a little unfair. He should at least play a couple of matches before he goes", a man said. "He is a very good player. He should think about it again and he should stay", said another. Madrid struggling Real Madrid is struggling on the pitch and could be facing a possible fourth trophyless season in a row. Other spectators expressed a more practical view on the matter. "It's going to help Los Angeles more than the MLS (Major League Soccer) in general. I think they already have a pretty large fan base in there, but I do think that wherever he goes he's going to draw a crowd and he's going to bring fans everywhere ", said one spectator. If coach Capello doesn't change his mind one of the options for Beckham is to move to the US earlier that originally agreed. The MLS season starts in April and Beckham would have time to settled in America and meet all his new team-mates in time for the big kick-off. The five-year deal with the Galaxy is believed to be worth about 10 million US dollars a year.
