Madrid, Spain:

David Beckham will miss his fourth straight game for Real Madrid with a sprained right knee ligament.

Beckham trained with teammates on Saturday but wasn't included in Madrid's 20-man squad for the Spanish league game against Osasuna on Sunday.

The 31-year-old midfielder sustained the injury during Madrid's game against Getafe on March 4 when he ran into the advertising signs behind the goal.

The former England captain's absence leaves him with a maximum of nine Madrid games before he joins the Los Angeles Galaxy in August.

Madrid still has a chance of winning the title, which would be Beckham's first major trophy since he joined the club from Manchester United in 2003.

Madrid is third in the league with 51 points, five behind leader FC Barcelona.

Left back Roberto Carlos and forward Jose Antonio Reyes, who have also missed recent games, returned to the squad for Sunday's game at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Defender Fabio Cannavaro, the world player of the year, is back from suspension
