Beckham move changes Madrid equation

New Delhi:

With David Beckham joining Real Madrid, it's now Figo, Raul, Zidane, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and of course Beckham at Real Madrid. So how does that change the equations at the club which boasts of nine champions league titles. Next season, the four players who together cost 118 million pounds - Beckham, Ronaldo, Zidane and Figo a€" will make Real a true superpower. But the big question is will Figo move to the left to accommodate Beckham on the right. Also, this doesn't take into account the bench strength - with the likes of Guti, Morientez and McManaman not likely to make a start. Figo is likely to be affected the most. There are already murmurs that he could be on his way to Italian side Inter Milan. Raul could be involved in a small ego clash. He wears jersey number 7, which is what Beckham wore at Manchester United. However, Zinedine Zidane, the most expensive player in the world right now shouldn't feel threatened. He's widely acknowledged as currently the most creative mid-fielder in the world. Ronaldo could be even more potent, with Beckham supplying his trademark crosses. It would seem Real has enough firepower now to intimidate any team. But they may not stop at Beckham. Ronaldinho has expressed a keen interest in joining teammate Ronaldo. However, that could create a bit of a problem, with a trio of Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos and David Beckham all cueing up for the free kicks. One way or another, it's free kicks all the way for supporters of Europe's most successful club.
