With a shirt on or without one. At his fluent best or down on the ground. Calm and focussed or violently charged up, David Robert Joseph Beckham will always have a massive fan following.

Becks led LA Galaxy in a friendly tie against Sydney FC in Sydney on Tuesday but there wasn't much friendly cheer going round as both teams sought to literally tread over each other.

Well the teams did play some football too. The crowd was in fact treated to no less than 8 goals

What was truly value for money for the 80,000 strong Sydney crowd was the free-kick maestro at his curling best, finding the back of the net over the Sydney wall to bring Galaxy back in the match.

The home side though was the more dominant one on the night with the final scoreline reading 5-3 in favour of the Australians, though not before the crowd had been treated to it's fair share of David Beckham.
