Bayer Leverkusen draw 2-2 against Manchester United in the Champions Cup first leg semi-final at Old Trafford.

Manchester:

Manchester United's Champions League dream hangs in the balance after Bayer Leverkusen scored priceless away goals for a 2-2 draw in last night's semi-final first leg at Old Trafford. Leverkusen, who beat Liverpool in the quarter-finals, snatched two vital away goals with some classic counter-attack play to take back to Germany for next Tuesday's second-leg. The winner will face Real Madrid or Barcelona in the May 15 final in Glasgow, Scotland. It was a difficult night for United, as defender Gary Neville was stretchered off with a broken bone in his foot, just as teammate and international colleague David Beckham was a fortnight ago.
