Audax outclass Necaxa 2-1

Audax Italiano of Chile scored in each half to beat Necaxa of Mexico 2-1 on Wednesday and jump to first place in Group 2 of Copa Libertadores.

Audax Italiano of Chile scored in each half to beat Necaxa of Mexico 2-1 on Wednesday and jump to first place in Group 2 of Copa Libertadores.

Audax retained clear possibilities to advance to second round totalling 10 points in the group, followed by Necaxa with nine, Sao Paulo of Brazil with seven and Alianza Lima of Peru, which has no points.

Rodolfo Moya gave the lead to Audax at minute 23rd after dribbling past two defenders and goalkeeper Alexander Alvarez.

Jose Salgueiro made it 1-1 at minute 53rd picking a pass from Jaime Ruiz and shooting over goalie Nicolas Peric.

Miguel Angel Romero scored the winning goal for Audax with a low right-footed shot off a pass from Moya.
