London: Arsenal are very much in contention for a double this year -- the English Premier League title and the FA Cup. A clumsy own goal by Middlebrough gave the gunners a 1-0 win in the FA Cup semi-final and they will now meet Chelsea in the final on May 4 in Cardiff's Millennium Stadium. Old Trafford is the venue for the first FA-Cup semi-final between Arsenal and F. Boro lost the first real chance he had in the game as Richard Wright made an acrobatic one-handed save from Dean Windass's shot just outside the penalty area. Then came Arsenal's chance, Robbie Mustoe intercepted before the ball could reach Thierry Henry, thus saving the opponents from suffering any damage. In the 39th minute, Arsenal take the lead after Thierry Henry's corner was deflected past Mark Schwarzer by his Boro teammate Gianluca Festa. Sylvain Wiltord, in the 55th minute, had a great opportunity to increase Arsenal's lead but he only managed to balloon his shot high and wide. Boro's last chance to equalize was quashed as Lee Dixon made a great clearance off the line from Dean Windass's header. At the final whistle, Arsenal were on their way back to Cardiff's Millennium Stadium for another cup final and maybe another double. Meanwhile at Villa Park in Birmingham, London rivals Chelsea and Fulham faced off to see who would join Arsenal in Cardiff. Chelsea's first chance in the game was lost as Van Der Sar made a great save from John Terry's volley. Sylvain Legwinski was unable to capitalize on Fulham's best chance in the game because Chelsea keeper Cudicini made a great one-handed save to deny him. With four minutes to go in the first half, John Terry finally scored for Chelsea after a goalmouth scramble, although replays showed that it took a big deflection of Fulham's Louis Saha. As the game drew to a close, Eidur Gudjohnsen shot wide unable to seal the win. The game went in favour of Chelsea who are to face London neighbours Arsenal in an eagerly awaited cup final on May 4.
