Today's first match in the Copa America was excellent for Argentina. The 1-1 draw between Bolivia and Venezuela in Trujillo secured Marcelo Bielsa's side a spot among the last eight in Copa America. Bolivia began in offensive mood, but lost midfielder Pizarro to injury in the 21st minute. Six minutes later, Venezuela opened the scoring. But Bolivia equalized through Miguel Mercado five minutes later. Now, Bolivia will pray for a 1-1 tie between Chile and Costa Rica in Tacna on Wednesday. A 2-2 tie will decide qualification with the drawing of lots. Venezuela are out of the tournament now.
