Tirana:

Albania and Georgia drew 0-0 in a friendly on Wednesday. With neither side at the World Cup later this year, the two German coaches - Albania's Hans-Peter Briegel and Georgia's Klaus Toppmoeller - used the game to test new players. Georgia, which was the aggressor throughout most of the game, had a good chance in the 43rd minute. But Kakhaber Aladashvili couldn't beat Albania goalkeeper Ilion Lika. Georgia's Gogita Gogua was sent off in the 69th for fouling Albania forward Edmond Kapllani. Albania's best chance came when midfielder Altin Lala's shot inside the area was stopped by Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Demetradze in the 73rd. (AP)
