Brazilian Giovanni scored with a header in the 47th minute, rallying Al Hilal for a 1-1 draw with Iraq's Al Mina'a on Wednesday. However, the Saudi club was left out of the Asian Champions League quarterfinals. Al Hilal finished with 10 points, three behind Group B winner Al Ain, which beat Mash'al 2-1 to claim the berth in the knockout round. Only the seven group winners advanced. Nawwaf Falah scored in the 34th minute for Al Mina'a, which was one of only two teams in groups with four teams that failed to win a match. Al Mina'a had two draws, while Vietnam's Danang lost all six matches by an aggregate score of 27-1. (AP)
