Pakistan's Yasir Arafat admits the 300-stand between Yuvraj Singh and Sourav Ganguly has completely changed the complexion of the second cricket Test.

Bangalore:

His triple strike in the morning pushed the hosts to the backfoot but debutant Yasir Arafat admits the 300-stand between Yuvraj Singh and Sourav Ganguly has completely changed the complexion of the second cricket Test.

The rookie medium pacer, replacing the injured Umar Gul, jolted India with a three-wicket burst this morning, removing in-form Wasim Jaffer (17), dependable Rahul Dravid (19) and stylish VVS Laxman (5) to leave India tottering at 61 for four.

However, the left-handed duo of Yuvraj (169) and Ganguly (125 not out) put their foot down and took charge.

"We were in a fairly good position in the morning but all credit to the fifth-wicket pair that pulled the Indian team out of trouble. It was really dissapointing to us," Arafat told reporters.

The youngster reckoned the track became easier to bat on in the second session but asserted that the visitors had not given up yet.

"The wicket eased out after lunch and now it looks very good for strokeplay. The bowlers had to struggle after lunch. But we will make a fight back in the morning," he said.

On his show, Arafat said, "The pitch helped bowlers in the morning and I was rewarded for maintaining a good line and length."
