India beat Australia by three wickets to finish third in the ICC Women's World Cup at the Bankstown Oval in Sydney on Saturday.

India beat Australia by three wickets to finish third in the ICC Women's World Cup at the Bankstown Oval in Sydney on Saturday.

Earlier, the Super Six stage defeat against New Zealand put paid to India's hopes for a place in Sunday's final and the 2005 finalists played for pride against the hosts.

Australia was all out at 142 in 44.4 overs, India made 145 for 7 in 43.5 overs.
