WI bowler Best fined 75% of match fee

West Indies fast bowler Tino Best has been fined 75% of his match fee for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during a Test against Bangladesh.

London: West Indies fast bowler Tino Best was yesterday fined 75 per cent of his match fee for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the first cricket Test against Bangladesh. They 22-year-old player was slapped the penalty by Match Referee Roshan Mahanama. The fast bowler has been accused of deliberately moving into the path of batsman Rajin Saleh while he was attempting to take a run during the 19th over of Bangladesh second innings in the drawn Test which ended on Tuesday. The fast bowler pleaded guilty to a breach of Level 2.5 of the International Cricket Council's Code Of Conduct that relates to deliberate physical contact between players during play. (PTI)
