The West Indies Cricket Board is unhappy about ICC's replacement of umpire Steve Bucknor for the third Test in the India series against Australia.

West Indies unhappy with Bucknor's replacement

New Delhi:

The West Indies Cricket Board is apparently unhappy about ICC's replacement of umpire Steve Bucknor for the third Test in the India series against Australia.

In a letter to ICC, the West Indies board said, "On the surface, the ICC's reaction in this particular instance seems to be extreme. A dangerous precedent may have been set by the ICC. There is no question that even the best umpires make mistakes. They are human and there are circumstances which may affect their judgment."

WICB president Julian Hunte said he wants more answers about the West Indian's ouster and asked the ICC to provide additional information before any further action is taken, including all relevant documents on the matter.
