Tough to hit all 6 balls: Yuvraj

He may have missed out on the chance to become India's ODI captain and he is still to solidify his position in the Test team, but there's no denying that Yuvraj Singh's contribution to the limited over version of the game is immense.

Having made a spectacular debut in the Champions Trophy in 2000, the Punjab batsman has definitely once again grabbed all the headline with his record breaking knock against England in Durban on Wednesday.

"Obviously it's tough to hit all six balls. So after the fourth ball I thought I am going to try for the next two balls as well," said Yuvraj.

Andrew Flintoff will always regret getting under Yuvraj's skin enough for the batsman to respond with six sixes in a row.

Doing that is not easy but after having received much the same treatment from Dmitri Mascarenhas earlier this month one could call it poetic justice.

"You know I was the one who got hit for five sixes in the Oval game. It's a horrible feeling," he said.

He seems to have given it back with interest. Yuvraj spread the ball all over the park like cheese on a slice of bread and even though he admitted that the fifth sixer was mis-hit, the opposition was pretty impressed with what they saw. But the 25-year-old still feels that you can't keep everyone happy.

"In India the problem is that we get criticised if we don't do well in a single match. I was top scorer till the last two games and now I'm Man of the Match. So I really don't understand what you guys expect," said Yuvraj.

For the dashing left hander the wheel has truly come a full circle from being hit for five sixes to hitting six of them in a row en-route to posting the fastest 50 in any international fixture.

But that's something Yuvraj wants his fans and the media to understand that cricket at the end of the day is a great leveler.
