Vadodara: While Vadodara is not as well known as Hyderabad for its cuisine, the chefs at a well-known restaurant are still hoping to cook up a storm as they prepare a feast for the Indian team. But Irfan Pathan, who is set to play on home ground in the final one-dayer of the Videocon Cup against Sri Lanka on Saturday, may be passing up on the chance. Pathan is more interested in his mom's magic fingers, and said he looked forward to going home to eat some of the biryani and kababs. Hopefully Pathan won't overdo it on his mother's cooking since there's a five-match one-day series against South Africa coming up very shortly. Pathan has taken seven wickets in five matches against Sri Lanka and made a sizzling 83 as a surprise number three batsman. But he prefers to talk about his new fast bowling teammates rather than his all-rounder abilities. Lauding the performances of upcoming bowlers like RP Singh and Sreesanth, he said the Indian bowlers have all done well in the series. Other heroes While locals in Vadodara may have eyes only for Pathan on Saturday, MS Dhoni also has the entire country fixated on him. Marriage offers and sponsorships deals have come flooding in after the epic 183 not out. "There was a lot of pressure on me, I have done pretty well in the series so far, I made 183 in Jaipur and then had scores of 40 and 45. It was very important for me to do well in the series with my batting and my wicket-keeping," said Dhoni. The fact that MS Dhoni, Gautam Gambhir, Irfan Pathan and Yuvraj Singh are the new pin-up boys of Indian cricket proves that Team India is now truly a team of superstars, and they can't wait to take on another second ranked team in the world, which is South Africa.
