Dubai:

The BCCI's Chairman of Selectors Krishnamachari Srikkanth urged Sourav Ganguly to score a lot of runs in his last series so that the left-hander goes out on a high.

"I am very happy Ganguly is doing so well. He still has two more matches to go," Srikkanth said on Thursday.

"I will be very happy if he gets centuries in the next two matches and goes out on a big high," he said.

Lauding Ganguly's hundred in the Mohali Test which India won, Srikkanth said, "He (Ganguly) has that youthful passion, he is playing cricket the same way.

"He is a great team man and is always there to help the team."

regarding India's 320-run win over the Australians, the former skipper said, "They played like the Australians --aggressive cricket -- from the first day in Mohali.

"It is an extraordinary team effort and is reminiscent of the 1983 World Cup."
